We started in 2019 with a small team and one ambition: to change the way children eat in Ireland. Built from personal experience, The Lunch Bag has grown with one purpose: to deliver better school meals for every child. Today, our team extends far beyond our HQ in Tipperary. From dietitians and chefs to logistics, customer support and drivers, it takes a diverse range of skills and expertise to deliver our service every day. From developing new ideas and supporting schools to managing the day-to-day operation, our HQ team plays an important role in keeping everything running smoothly.

From planning and developing new ideas to overseeing the day-to-day running of the business, they play an important role in ensuring we continue to deliver the best possible service to schools and families.

Our HR team is responsible for fostering a positive, inclusive and compliant workplace where our people feel supported and empowered to do their job everyday! From day one, people and culture have been at the heart of The Lunch Bag and our HR team plays a key role in maintaining this through fair and consistent people practices, employee support and the implementation of company policies and procedures, while also making sure there’s plenty of fun along the way!

Our Transport crew are the real drivers behind the business! They are responsible for managing our fleet, supporting our drivers, and coordinating the daily logistics that keep everything moving. Their careful planning and commitment to road safety and compliance ensure every meal reaches the right school, at the right time, and in the right condition!

Our finance team are the steady hands behind all things numbers! They are responsible for keeping The Lunch Bag’s finances accurate, compliant, and running smoothly. From managing financial processes to building strong relationships with our school partners, they provide the steady support that helps the business thrive. They’re great with budgets, even better with people, and yes… we’d definitely trust them with our money!

Our marketing crew is responsible for delivering consistent, accurate, and brand aligned communications that keep parents, schools and students informed while growing awareness of The Lunch Bag. They bring our brand to life by creating engaging content, delivering nationwide school campaigns and developing creative marketing initiatives that reflect our values and meet company standards. While we’re known for cooking up fun ideas and bringing big energy to everything we do, all marketing activity is carried out in line with approved brand guidelines, company policies, and communication standards.

Our Food Safety and Production team are the safety net behind every meal we make! They make sure every product meets the highest standards of food safety, quality, nutrition and compliance, helping to protect the health and wellbeing of the children we serve. Every meal is carefully checked to ensure it’s safe, balanced, and nutritious, because “good enough” simply isn’t on the menu!

Our Support Team are the friendly faces and helping hands behind every parent and school interaction! They are responsible for providing excellent customer service, supporting our schools and helping families with any questions or challenges that come their way. With patience, care, and a can-do attitude, they work hard to find solutions and make sure every concern is handled with kindness and efficiency. They’re the problem solvers and the everyday heroes who help keep our schools and families in mind, because great support is always on the menu!

Our IT Team are the tech experts who help keep The Lunch Bag running smoothly behind the scenes! They manage and support the systems that keep our teams connected, our processes accurate, and our operations moving efficiently. Their attention to detail plays a vital role in ensuring every child receives the correct meal, with accurate labelling and essential information in place to support food safety.

They are the vital link between our office teams and our schools, building strong relationships, visiting schools and making sure everything is running smoothly.
